AI Video Interview – Step-by-Step Guide

The AI Interview is a recorded, structured interview conducted by Zena, Hirin.ai’s AI-powered interviewer. You will answer a set of predefined questions using your camera and microphone. Your responses are recorded and securely shared with the hiring team.

System Requirements

Before you start, make sure you have:

• A laptop or desktop with a working camera & microphone
• A stable internet connection
• Google Chrome (latest version recommended)
• A quiet, well-lit space

Accessing the Interview

• Click the interview link shared via email or WhatsApp
• The link is personal—please don’t share it
• Once started, avoid refreshing the page 

Camera & Microphone Permission

When you open the link:

• Allow access to your camera and microphone
• Select the correct devices

Step 1: Check Microphone First

• Speak a few words to test
• You’ll see “Microphone sounds good!”

Step 2: Check Camera

• Make sure your face is clearly visible
• Adjust lighting if needed
• You’ll see “Camera looks good!”

Click Next Step once everything is set.

• Each question will have a 5-second countdown
• Answer clearly within the time limit
• Submit each answer to move ahead

Accept the Terms & Conditions and click Start Interview.

Interview Experience

How it works:

• Zena will ask each question (you can also read it on screen)
• After a short countdown, recording will start automatically

Answering Questions:

• Look at the camera
• Speak clearly and confidently
• Take your time and use the full duration
• Click Submit Answer & Continue to move ahead

Full-Screen Monitoring: 

• The interview runs in full screen mode‑screen mode
• Exiting full screen is tracked by the system
• Repeated exits may impact interview evaluation.

Interview Completion

Once all questions are answered, the interview moves into the completion stage.

Interview Submission

• The interview is automatically submitted after the final question
• No further action is required from your side

Submit Feedback

After successful submission, you will be asked to share your interview experience.

Feedback Confirmation

• “Thank You for Your Feedback!” message displayed
• Confirms successful completion
